Riding The Universal Serial Bus Around The World.

What if you never needed to use a power adapter when you traveled? What if the whole world decided to adopt the same power outlet so that we could all travel more easily and with less cables, power packs and travel adapters? What if I told you that it is already happening around the world?

I know that it sounds about as absurd as the US adopting the Metric System but the whole world is actually already adapting and adding the all mighty USB outlet to airports, airplanes, trains, cars, bus stations and hotels as a new standard. I have even ridden a rickshaw with a USB charge port on it.

Oh yeah, they can also be found on just about every computer in the developed world.

USB ports all around the world

Keep in mind that this is not a replacement to the native outlets but rather a secondary option to charge an ever growing number of electronic devices around the world.  I use USB to charge my iPod, iPad, Phone, SLR Camera, my GoPro and am currently looking for means to charge my Sonicare Toothbrush via USB so I can reduce the amount of cables and wires that I travel with.

It might take years but they will slowly become the de facto world outlet the same way that English has become the universal world language.

USB outlets all around the world are the future

Imagine a world where people speak there own languages at home and use English as a secondary alternative language for business and travel. Imagine a  world where people use their own electrical currents at home and use USB as a secondary alternative power supply for business and travel. Well, it’s happening if you like it or not so you might as well be a part of the evolution and add some USB outlets to your home (or hostel if you are reading this, Juao).
